Dr Altaf Hussain, Senedd Member for South West Wales, has called on the Welsh Government to provide more support for local bus services. During a Senedd debate Dr Hussain spoke up for constituents such as those living in his home village of Pen-y-Fai whose lives have been impacted by cuts to bus services.

Many local people rely on bus services to get to work, attend healthcare appointments or to get to school but feel isolated and trapped in their homes due to the lack of transport. Dr Hussain said that they couldn't afford to wait while the Welsh Government reformed bus services, services needed funding now.
