Dr Altaf Hussain MS has called upon the Welsh Government to ensure greater access to residential rehab during Senedd questions on substance misuse. Concerned that hundreds of thousands of pounds of substance misuse funding goes unspent each year Dr Hussain called upon the Deputy Minister to work with local authorities and Substance Misuse Programme Boards to increase residential rehab referrals, as this method of treatment delivers the best long-term results for those suffering with addiction.
